Thread: Chloe

    Chloe

I like the name Chloe but I think it's too popular. (Anyone disagree?)

Can anyone suggest another name that has the woodland sprite feeling of Chloe? I am pregnant with twins and I am thinking Sylvie and ________. It does not have to be a Greek name (like Zoe or Ianthe or Phoebe). I just want it to have that magical woods feeling. I don't know if anyone else can relate to this.

My daughter is Eva. Would it be weird to have an Eva and an Ivy? (Ivy is like Chloe to me.)

    Names that are like Chloe:
    Laurel - means laurel tree
    Daphne - means laurel tree
Sylvie - means from the forest
    Iris - a flower
Evelyn nn Evie - means hazelnut
Fiona - this just feels woodsy to me. On another website Fiona means "vine".
    Freya - feels woodsy, too.
    Hazel - means hazelnut tree.
Iona - an island in Scotland. On the other website, Iona means flower.
Carmella, Carmel (Car-MELL) - means garden
    Willow
Anastasia nn Tansy - Tansy sounds so woodsy and cute to me. Like a bunch of curling vines.
    Melina - a yellow quince.
Tamsin - sounds so cute, too.
Rosemary nn Romy - rosemary is a plant with a lovely smell.
    Flora - means flower
    Penelope nn Poppy
Also love Ivy, but I do think it's too similar to Eva.

I think Jill and Susan gave some amazing options that totally have the woodsy magical feel of Chloe! I was also just thinking of Clio or Cleo, which sound like Chloe but have their own feel. Clio, which is greek, is the name of the muse of history, and has a magical feel to me :) It is not on the charts at all.

Yes, the suggestions are really spot on in terms of the feeling I want. Thanks so much.

I really like Flora but my husband says no.
