    Re: Overwhelmed............

    Thanks Susan and Amym!

Okay, I know I'm being difficult, but today in the baby name games, I saw the name Bellatrix. I am loving that name! She could go by Bella if she wanted to fit in or Trixie if she wanted to stand out. But what do you guys think? Does it sound too made up?

    Re: Overwhelmed............

I looked up Bellatrix, and Pam and Linda say it's a no-no. Apparently, it's the name of a nasty, evil Harry Potter character played by Helena Bonham Carter. JK Rowling created the name for her book. I like Bella, though, but want Momma V's baby girl to have a name associated with good, not evil. :-) I'm still voting for Georgiana Evelyn Beatrix! :-)

Note: As Lola said, I misread the blurb, and Bellatrix isn't made up. I reported the rest accurately, though. With children being so enmeshed in everything Harry Potter, I'm guessing Pam and Linda feel that a baby Bellatrix would be like naming a baby Ursula during the height of the Little Mermaid's glory.

Just a quick note, Bellatrix is a Star, it was not created by Rowling. As such, I could live with introducing myself as Bellatrix. With nn's Bella or tixie, yeah, seems flexible enough to me!

Why does one bad, literary character make it awful? Google Bellatrix and the deatheater comes up second, the star tops that!

Georgiana Evelyn Beatrix -- Ooohhhh, that is perfect! It has a lovely sound, is original yet classic too, and is sophisticated and oh so pretty! (I prefer Georgiana over Georgia too.)

    Thanks Jill, Lola, and Peach!
Hmmm, I still like Bellatrix, but not near as much of Georgiana. Maybe if Bellatrix was the second middle? Georgiana Evelyn Bellatrix? Not sure if I like her more than the original combo, though. Ugh, I wish that names I liked would stop being related to horrible people. First Delilah and now Bellatrix. Sigh. Oh well. Oh, and thanks Jill, for the nickname. And for not wanting my daughter to be evil. Well we'll just have to wait for those teen years. Ugh, now that, I'm not looking forward to. Thanks again everyone!
