My pets and why they have their names...

I had lots of pets as a kid, here are my favorites:

Toads and Frogs:
George, Martha, Quasimodo, Abe, Toby

Gecko:
Lillian and Liz (baby)

Assorted Rodents:
Tux, Peanut, Cracker, Leeloo, Violet

Dogs:
Speck, speckled poodle mix (after Pee Wee Herman's dog, my dad named him)
Zorro, chihuahua mix, looks like a little fox

Cats:
Zena, tough and prissy, had to spell it with a Z to match Zorro!
Wesley, Vincent, Calvin, Clover

I have two cats:
Aspen Svetlana--She is a solid storm-cloud gray with long fur. I named her Aspen because it's a name I like but would never use. (I wanted to name her Topanga but Shaun wasn't having it...lol)

Jinx Anastasia--She is your average brown and black tiger striped domestic shorthair. Her name is Jinx because we got her on Friday the 13t. The man we got her from was calling her Tinkerbelle but I wasn't feeling it.

I call them both a polethera of nns though.

DH has a german shepherd that lives at his moms house. His name is Noble. Shaun named him that because he said he was his noble little puppy when he got him. I say his name is Noble Dimitri to keep with my theme. He also picked out their cat..her name is Jasper.

They all have Russian mns because I love them but can't ever really use them with my very English surname.

Previous pets....Loki, Bandit and Belker (ferrets). Sophie (golden retriever) and Kai (lab mix). Smokey and Snows (cats...Smokey was my childhood pet...all black. Snows was Shauns childhood pet....huge, solid white and long haired)

My cat is named Ophelia. Mostly it was because she was a rescue originally called Sofie but I had to change the name to something similar sounding since my roommate's girlfriend's name was Sophie. Also, Ophelia fits her since she acts like a princess and walks around the house "singing" to herself.

We have two dogs both females Luka (50lb shar pei mix with no wringles) after a video game character and Mya the chiweenie mix and one cat Laila cause it sounded pretty and dainty just like her. the all have little nn my dh uses luka-bear, mya-bean and laila-bug
