I'm Emma Britton. Emma being a name my parents loved and Britton being a family name. When my parents picked my name they looked through many books obviously. They found Ellen, Emma, Emily, Ella and Sarah but went with Emma. Growing up in Canada my name was very popular! And still when I'm out at grocery stores or malls I hear 'Emma!' being called and I turn to see a young man and his 5 year old daughter Emma. Emma has gotten more and more popular too. Making things annoying and tough when in public. I was actually even called Emma B. during my school career as to not confuse between the other 6 Emma's in my GRADE!!

Overall, I'm happy to have my name over others and my parents other picks. It's classic and timeless but I just wish it still had the charm of being unheard of.

Well I don't have the same problem with my name Ebony. I am Ebony Anne and I LOVE it. sure there would be many with the same name as me but Anne is my great grandmas name and my grandma and mums middle names (though mum probably got it to balance her Scottish first name Elspeth). I only get the occasional "but your not black" comment but do you have to be red to be called Ruby? If I were a boy I would have been Isaac my mum had that picked before I was born and it is my little brothers name. I was born in the late nineties when Emily started getting more popular. It is annoying when I first meet someone and don't put emphasis on the B they call me Emily. So sometimes I have to say it twice with a hard b. I like having a name that is not unknown but I don't have another in any of my classes. I am glad not to be an Emily, Jessica or Sarah. Compared to my sisters name Adele my name is popular but compared to my brothers Isaac it is unique.

My name is Rowan May. I've always loved my name. Rowan has never really been very popular and was out of the top 1000 when I was born. Despite this there was another Rowan in my high school which always amused my parents since they had chosen such a unique name after naming my older brother the most popular name for years, Jack. My middle name May is a family name, it is my Grandmas middle name and was my Great Grandmas first name, which I love. Quite a few people I knew had this middle name but I still love it because of the family connections. I dislike the spelling Mae though and am glad mine wasn't adapted in that way. Recently Rowan has become more popular for boys and I see a lot of Berry's choosing it as their favourite boys names which irks me because I never really saw my name as masculine in any way. I really love my name and I feel I am well suited to it, much more than Amelia which is another name my parents debated calling me.

My name is Jorrian Rachelle. I was originally supposed to be named Laura Elizabeth but when my mom was pregnant with me she saw a movie and one of the actresses names was Jorrian. My mom fell head over heels in love with that name. She also wanted to name me after her friend Saralinn Rachelle, but her friend had just named her daughter Saralinn So she went with the middle name Rachelle. I absolutly love my name and wouldnt want any other name than m own

My name is Marisa Isabel (pronounced :Mar-eesa)and I love my name soo much. When I was younger I hated my name because every person under the sun called me marissa or Marcia or melissa ect and that bothers me a lot still.I think I really started to love my name because of its exotic and unusual sound,my family is Hispanic from Cuba and Uruguay but I still look pretty white unfortunately.
Marisa is actually a tribute to my grandmother who's name is Maritza but my mom though that was to much of a mouthful so she changed it up a bit.I'm actually not quite sure where my middle name came from Im pretty sure it was just a Fav of my moms. But I live the was it sounds when u say it with an accent and I think it was a very internationaal choice and is uniques but not too strangE or aanything
    Best nameing luck

My name is Georgia Elizabeth, and I hate it. I don't mind the actual name, I just hate being named Georgia. I wish it was something more common and current, being in high school and all.

I'm Shoshanah Leah. I think my parents did a good job. The only thing I hate is that people assume I'm African American OR I get a lot of chuckles from my African American patients (I work in a very urban ER) and they give me a lot of double takes because they think my parents tried to give me a "black" name....it's Hebrew. So then we end up getting into them asking me if I'm Jewish (which I am....and proud of it, but it makes for awkward conversations at work). My first name is for my great Aunt Florence....and I know I'm named after another relative, but I forget who. My parents were into Hebrew names (a little less so than I am) - my brother's are Joseph Daniel, Samuel Aaron, and Benjamin Mordechai. I'm the odd ball with Joe, Sam, and Ben...lol

    My name is Diana Rose

I love my first name because it was unique and I didn't have to share with anyone else, unlike all my other friends who knew at least one other person with their name. I was the only Diana growing up in my school. It was awesome.

I hate my middle name because I don't like roses at all. I also LOVE rose as a first name and now I can't use it, which makes me dislike it more, but changing it would be weird..... and I think maybe hate is too strong since I don't hate it enough to change it....

My name is Ena, a very short, a very simple name. I'm an only child, so I don't have brothers or sisters. I don't really know what I think of my name, I (sternly) regard it as my name, and I have no opinion of it, really. I find that quite strange, I've never developed any kind of affection or animosity towards my name, to me it was just my name to stick with it. Although I wouldn't be relieved if Ena had been a popular name, or even a fairly unknown, I don't know any Ena from abroad, and it's much shaded by the sisterly Emma (or Ema?). It's a name my parents really liked so they picked it. I can't imagine myself being called anything else. It's grown on me, although I've never hated it or disliked it. I didn't find anything special in my name, nothing gorgeous or stunning. It's just my name.
