    Help with second child's name

We have a little boy Donny Fox. Surname starts with G, very common, two syllables. I feel I've created a bit of "situation" with the middle name Fox, as Donny has fox toys, fox clothes, gets fox birthday cards etc. I would like the second child to have a "special" name, too, be it first or middle, even if it is a colour, animal etc. I'm having trouble with order, flow and a suitable match (most likely the last child). I'd thought I throw my lists out there and see if anyone can come up with magical. I REALLY enjoyed the recent list "If you had a baby today..." I'd ultimately like something a little vintagey, different and imaginative. Would be delighted to consider names not on my favourites list. Thanks in advance. Lou.

    In no particular order:

    Puma
    Redd
    Hopper
    Ike
    Anchor
    Sebastian
    Lou
    Valentino
    Romeo
    Fabrizio
    Drummer
    Fitzroy
    Feliz
    Wilder
    Digby
    Ned
    Ted
    Ralph
    Hawthorne
    Francisco
    Lion
    Wolf
    Bear
    Rocket
    Fergus
    Jem
    Felix
    Pip
    Adventure
    Igby
    Tiger
    Navy

With Donny Fox as a brother, I would go with the special name in the middle. I think I would also pick so etching other than another animal but a color doesn't seem special enough. Anchor and Rocket are my favorites from your list for middle names though I think Drummer could also work.

Digby Anchor goes well with Donny Fox if you don't mind the same first initial. Donny and Digby.

Because the middle name is longer than Fox, I like the idea of a shorter first name.

Jem Rocket strikes me as having a nice flow. Donny and Jem.

Ike Drummer is pretty cool. Donny and Ike.

I think my favorite from your list is Ned and I would go with Ned Anchor.

Other ideas ... I love boys names ending in o. Also for middle names, I rather like Jet and Archer

Instead of Lou what about Leo

    Leo Archer
    Arlo Jet
    Hugo Drummer
I like simple yet versatile names that work well for the athlete, the comic, the genius, and the judge.

I can totally relate to all the fox stuff. When my son was very young, he liked to pretend to be a fox. I made up "Jacob Fox" stories for him and included his cousins as animal characters. Now I buy fox things for my grandchildren. I agree that your second just needs an equally special name.

Johnny Moss (I like this one, but it wouldn't be a much fun for your son and Johnny and Donnie
Tyler Rocket - this would be a fun collection for any boy!
    Finley Falls - Finley Rain(e)
Maple Leif - probably too much. Maple Rafferty. Silver Maple.
    Bryan Mercury
    River Rain(e)
    Victory Hunter - Victory Lane
    Eagle Laken
River Rox (Rocks) - River Rocco
Grey Wolf or Graydon Wolf - Wolf, Lynx, Cougar, and Tiger are equals to Fox.
    Lynx Matthew
    Timber Gilmore
    Meadow Spruce
    River Chase
Sebastian Rod (as in fishing) - Sebastian Ice - Sebastian Coal - Sebastian
    Igby Heathcliff - Igby Planet
Daniel Hunter - Daniel Lion -
    Forest Ember
    Leo Tiger
    Henry Atlas
Sailor Brown - Sailor Hawthorne - Sailor Blue
Milo Puma - Milo Ice -
    Ashbury Falls - Ashby Falls
    Jet/Jette Sebastian
    Nathaniel Pirate
Raymond Hopper - (Frog or rabbit theme)
Benjamin Linx - Benjamin Ice - Benjamin Treasure - Benjamin Puma - Benjamin Lynx
    Jack Timber - Jack Bison

What aout Anchor Blue? Hope the little guy wouldn't get seasick because he would always end up with nautical themed stuff.

First of all, I love Donny Fox. I think its tons of fun and also because Donny could become Don, has the ability to age well.

    I would try

    Asher Lynx
    Viggo Lynx
    Milo Wolf
    Archer Storm
Tyler Rocket (saw it above, seconding it because its really cute)
    Cato Sea
Noah Storm (could be a bit biblical but I think it'd be cool)
    Demitri Wolf
    Andrew Bear
    Ryan Lupe (wolf)
    Patrick Drummer
