Thread: Scottie?

    Scottie?

I'm currently obsessed with Scottie for a little girl (Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald's daughter Francis went by it), but how do I get there...Scotland, Scottoline?
    Current Favorites (no order):
Girls- Nora Holiday, Leonora Eveline, Nora Scotland "Scottie", Charlotte Lane, Gerda Iris, Eugenia Iris
    Boys-Nicholas Tucker, Deveraux Lewis "Dev"

    Here are a few suggestions:

    Scota
    Scotia
    Scout
    Alcott

I could see Scotia as a pretty cute girls name, and maybe even Charlotte or Scarlet could work.

I think Scottie is adorable on it's own, honestly. My name is a nickname for a very popular name, so people always assume my real name is the popular one. I don't think a little girl Scottie would really have that problem, unless people think her name is actually Scott or something.

I like the Scarlet and Scotia suggestions. Or Scout, but that feels even more nicknamey than Scottie.

I actually like the Frances Scott "Scottie" Fitzgerald approach best: traditional first name with Scott as the middle, nicknamed Scottie. Elizabeth Scott, Anna Scott, Lucy Scott, etc.

Or, a S first name and C middle: Sarah Catherine, Susannah Caroline, Sadie Cora.
    Girls:
Nickname-able: Susanna, Johanna, Paloma, Lucille, Harriet, Beatrix, Rosemary, Juniper, Marigold, Annabeth, Gwendolen, Kathleen, Tabitha
Short and to-the-point: Flora, Jane, Laura, Anne, Cecile, Susan, Kaia

    Boys:
So much easier: Hugh/Hugo, Wilfred, Basil, Augustin, Edmund, Arlo, Timothy, Frederick
