    Thoughts on Virginia?

    Please give me your thoughts on the name Virginia?

    I wouldn't use it because it brings attention to a woman's (or child's or teen's) sexual status. Would you name a boy Virginio? (Yes, it's a legitimate name used in Medieval times).

    I ADORE Virginia, but this is the reason it's 100% a GP for me. I just don't think the concept of virginity is a particularly healthy 'value' to name your child for. And lets keep it real it does contain the word virgin.

    I do love love love her though, it reminds me of the photography of Sally Mann which is why my imagery of Virginia is so ethereal.

    I never think of virginity when I see Virginia. I see a Southern, refined, floral name. I love it!
