    Phoenix and Houston

I was traveling across country this weekend on Amtrak and a couple of less common names I heard on two boys were Phoenix and Houston (not related).

What do you think. I actually like both of them for different reasons. I like the mythological aspect of the Phoenix and I like place names (since I am named after a place too).

I really like the name Phoenix- I used to babysit two little brothers whose names were Phoenix and Saxon

I'm not a fan of Houston though.

I love, love, love Phoenix, mostly because of the mythological connection. Houston is actually pretty cool as well. It reminds me of space travels and discoveries, but I can't help but hear "Houston, we have a problem".

Phoenix is a very cool name, I really like it. Houston is not my favorite but an interesting place name.

I immediately thought Arizona and Texas when I saw them together. Neither is my style, but I went to school with a very sweet boy named Houston. He and his brothers were all named after Texas cities.
