    Two Weeks left... Help us name our little Italian stallion

    Berries,

    I need some final words of advice for an italian boy's name. If it is a boy... my list is in disarray and I am getting short on time.

    I have a Scarlett and Nico at home. Our last name is Italian beginning with C and ending in - I. We have settled on choosing an italian name with a middle of Eugene or Eugenio or some variant of Eugene/Gene.

    The current short list is:
    Enzo (is it too Gonzo-ish sounding?)
    Leo (is it too common?)
    Santino
    Valentino (no good nickname)
    Luciano (pronunciation in USA would probably sound Lucy-ano)

    Luca is out because we have a girl cousin named Lucca.

    Can you provide some feedback or are there any other names I should consider? I am not sure I have found "the one".

    Thank you in advance!

    My favorite with Scarlett and Nico is Leo or Luciano. I wouldn't worry too much about pronunciation of the latter; most people will pick it up after being told. If the repetition of that bothers you, Leo would be the better choice. Suggestions:

    Arturo
    Damiano {Day}
    Dante
    Ettore
    Matteo
    Ottavio NN Otto
    Pier
    Rafaele/Raffaello {NN Raf}
    Ranieri
    Renato
    Vincenzo {NN Vinnie; so retro cool!}
    Vittorio {NN Tory? It might work}
    Damian Joachim-Raphael Benedict-Jude Marius-Charles Dominic

    Genevieve Reine-Catalina Lourdes-Madeleine Gracia

    Luciano is a marvelous name that sounds good with his siblings. I say use that!

    I like the Enzo option! Leo is just too popular and doesn't feel Italian to me.

    Santino is a cool name - would Tino be the NN?

    I love Gianni but not sure if that would work with your last name.

    Lazaro Eugene - I'm really liking this one! NN Zaro
    Romeo Eugene
    Giancarlo Eugene
