    Boo! Don't replace Doris. It's a dignified Grecian beauty a side of vintage sassiness. If you must, Dorothea is lovely, and opens the door to Dot! Dot is fabulous - much better than Dottie imo, which immediately makes me think of doddering, dotty old ladies with feathered hats and cracked lipstick.

    I voted for Dorothea, but I also like Dora and don't see any problems with Doris. Dottie is definitely a nickname to me and as such I prefer Dot.
