Thread: Weirdest Names?
July 3rd, 2014 09:23 PM #1
So I just happened to come across this article from a British magazine of the worst celebrity baby names so I thought I'd post some of the more "unique" ones here to see what everyone thinks.
There were some pretty normal ones that I couldn't understand as to why they were on the list, but here are a few I saw that you may already have heard of:
Makena Lei Gordon
Homer James Jigme
Bingham "Bing" Hawn
Denim and Diezel
Moroccan Scott and Monroe
Reiley Dilys Stella Willis
Egypt Daoud Ibarr
Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman
Phyllon Joy Gorre
Buddy Bear Maurice
Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily
So I was just wondering in your opinion which are the weirdest/worst ones out of those? and what are some of the weirdest/worst/most unique names you've ever come across?Just an average 21yr old name loving girl

Not many are new, but there's only several that I recognise (or know who the parents are). Anyway I love;
Cricket Pearl - I actually love both of these
Blue Ivy - hated this at first, but Bey has good taste.
Frances Bean - I don't think I could ever dislike a name Kurt and Courtney chose!!
Gaia Romilly - pretty, nothing wrong here, as I remember her mum is Emma Thompson? I don't know why I remember that.
Gulliver Flynn - again, nothing weird here. I like both.
Morocco Elijah - I like both names but I guess it's unusual
Bluebell Madonna - I ADORE Bluebell, and Madonna appeals to me for some reason (of course I love Madonna too)olivia, seventeen, obsessively maternal with a lovely black kitten Shura <3
★ close to my heart / future darlings; ★
Estella - Oona - Margaret - Imogen - Billie - Eilidh - Jemima - Elizabeth - Delia
Emmett - Eoghan - Wilf - Alec - Nicholas - William - Hugh - Amadeus - Wes

These are my favourites:
Booker Jombe- I love Booker. 'Nuff said.
Cricket Pearl- I love love love this. Up there with Frances Bean for me, and that is saying something.
Happy- I love Happy (it was on the short list for both my sister and I), but I do worry about temper tantrums. Kudo's to whoever chose this though.
Frances Bean- This is among the best moniker's ever created for a real person.
Gaia Romilly- This isn't odd at all. Gaia? I know a handful of Gaia's. Most people just see it as a variation on the super popular Maya.
Gulliver Flynn- This isn't odd. This is perfection. I'm sorry to whoever made this list, but Gary Oldman can do no wrong. It is a universally accepted law. He is Dracula- he will find you and suck your blood with Béla Lugosi.
Satchel- I love this. Weird meaning for a child's name, but a cool word.
Seven Sirius- I actually like Seven, and Sirius. I know lots of people think of that Seinfield episode, but I like it. Seven would be a cool kid, and he could use Seth if he hated it.
Bear Blu- Kind of cute.
Ignatius- It's Ignatius, it doesn't need an explanation: Iggy is wonderful.
Betty Kitten- I love Betty. I prefer Kitty, but Kitten is pretty cool.
Hopper Jack- I love Hopper. So friendly and bouncy. I don't think it is odd.
Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily- I love the name Tiger Lily (Peter Pan). I've always thought it was so beautiful- extremely unusual, but I would be proud to have that moniker.
Banjo- This really isn't weird. In Australia, one of the most revered poet's was Banjo A.Patteron, and considering it was chosen by an Australian actress, I think this wonderful name is honouring Patterson.
