    Rohan is nice. I grew up with a kid named Rohan (his sister was Mira). Aryan has very strong ties to Nazism and genocide. Definitely something that should be avoided.

    Yep, Aryan makes me cringe. I would not assume you were a neo-Nazi, but I would hate saying your child's name. I like Rohan and Sam a lot though!

    Aryan is an absolute no go...

    But Arjen, Adrian, and Orion (all previously suggested) work as alternatives. Similar but different enough in look and pronunciation not to be an issue.

    If you are looking for Indian names I think these work well in the US. (I used to work at an Indian Restaurant and the *ones are names of coworkers I had whose names worked well).
