    Georgia is much more of a classic name and in that way may age better since it wont be associated with a certain time period as much as Savannah. But I think I prefer Savannah slightly more nonetheless.

    Savannah. It's a charming, romantic, nostalgic town, as you know.

    Georgia, which is much less specific, could bring up unbearable heat, "gotcha" veins, ginormous roaches, and any other unpleasant connotations of that state. I don't know why but I've always despised the name Georgia (I think because of a girl I knew once, who was just gross) so take what I say with a grain of salt! I'm sure if you ended up naming your as yet unconceived child Georgia she would be lovely regardless :-)

    I prefer Savannah over Georgia but like both.
