    Opinions on Alba

I am absolutely in love with the name Alba meaning dawn in Italian and Spanish but also means white.

It is not as traditional as I thought I would like/pick.

What do you all think of it?

    Would love some honest opinions.

I like these combinations for middle names but am open to any suggestions.

    Alba Rose
    Alba Juliana (Grandmothers name)
    Alba Grace
    Alba Lucia

When I think of the name Alba two things come to mind, first that Alba is the Scottish Gaelic word for Scotland and second the actress Jessica Alba.

I prefer Alba Rose or Alba Lucia from your list!

Alba is also the ancient name of Scotland. Would make a great big sister to an Erin.

Alba reminds me of the little girl from The Time Traveler's Wife, which is my all-time favorite movie and one of my favorite books. I think it's a great choice.

Alba Rose is my favorite combo you've suggested; I think the Rose pretties up Alba nicely. I would avoid a middle that ends in -a. Maybe if you want to honor your grandmother you could choose a variant of Juliana, such as Alba Julienne, Alba Julie, Alba Jewel, etc.

    Hmm...

I think Alba is a lovely name with a cool wholesome sound. It's quirky and has a great vibe.

Alba Rose - A little predictable would prefer Alba Rosalind.

Alba Juliana - Juliana is a lovely name and I also love the family association but I dislike the run of the letter 'a' in this combination. Have you thought Alba Juliet?

Alba Grace - I do love Grace just like I prefer Rose but I think with a name like Alba it's predictable despite how lovely the names are.

Alba Lucia - I dislike the run of these two names together.

    Suggestions:
    Alba Margot
    Alba Blythe
    Alba Elisabeth
    Alba Verity

    : )
