You can make any name into a nickname, or have a nickname that's unrelated to the name, even. I wouldn't cross off names just because you can make a nickname of them because then you would have no names to choose from. If you keep everything one or two syllables you are unlikely to run into people trying to make a nickname out of it very often. But I think in general most people are more respectful of using the full name rather than calling by a nickname if asked.

That said, here are some strong boy names that I think are good for avoiding nicknames, there may be repeats but I don't think these are likely to be nicknamed, whether they have been on occasion or not:
Aaron, Abe, Bo/Beau, Boone, Chance, Colt, Cooper, Deacon, Luke, Levi, Shane, Dylan/Dillon, Trace, Zane, Mason, Cash, Garth, Rhett, Travis, Ryder, Kane, Kent, Beck, Knox, Locke, Reid/Reed, Drake, Scott, Tate, Gibson, Gray, Adam, Aidan, Al, Alex, Alec, Ben, Bill, Gavin, Austin, Carson, Carter, Brad, Bram, Ian, Kyle, Derek, Devin, Cal, Cliff, Cole, Curt, Dan, Don, Ed, Logan, Otto, Owen, Fred, Greg, Gus, Hal, Hank, Lee, Dale, Harry, Jake, Jack, Jim, Jeff, Joe, Larry, Mack, Matt, Rick, Rob, Bob, Ron, Sam, Stan, Eli, Eric, Evan, Ryan, Sawyer, Ezra, Steve, Ted, Theo, Tim, Vin, Vince, Van, Von/Vaughn, Will, Felix, Warren, Wyatt, Zack, Zeke
