I'm going with neither as well...Fennec just doesn't sound pleasing. What about Finley? And Fox is cruel. Never name a girl that, ever. For a boy it's alright...I can see the appeal but for a girl it's just wrong. It's like naming your daughter Sexy.

I say Fennec. I don't like Fox on a girl.

I don't really think they're that bad, but I seem to be in the minority. Fox could at least be in the middle or used as a nickname.

Honestly, I'd keep looking. Fennec is really close to "finnick", which is essentially finicky. Fox on a girl is just mean. Calling girls and women "foxy" is a derogatory term and having it be a child's first name is definitely not any better.
I must agree. Maybe Forest or Farrah?

Why do you want to name your child after the Fennec fox? Is it your favourite animal? They're cute but it seems odd to name your child after them, imo its like naming your child Labrador because you like labrador retrievers. Personally, I know if I were named Fennec, it would get tiring to hear 'oh, like the fox?' every time I introduce myself.

I do really like the name Fox, but only on a boy. It doesn't feel right on a girl, mostly due to the word 'foxy' which is used to sexualise women as has been said.

Why not use Alexandria as a first name?
