Roisin! Such a lovely name. I'm in the US, and if I weren't positive that everyone I know/live around would mispronounce it at first, I'd use it.

We had pretty much decided on Freya but friends got there before us a couple of weeks ago:-( I still love it but hubby thinks we should go with something else and I kind of agree... only other name I'm loving is Maia but hubby unsure....

    Other possible contenders
    Alannah
    Molly
Hubby loves Beibhínn (prn Bay-veen) I've tried but just don't love it.

Would be really grateful for some other suggestions, thanks:-)

Thanks for suggestions. Róisín is lovely but we know about 10 little róisín's! Same for all of the well known Irish names like Aoife & Niamh.

We're not necessarily looking for an Irish name as our middle daughter is Isla which is Scottish. So maybe something celtic or something 2 syllable pretty & girly to go with what we have already.Hit me with what you have....

Maia is still a front runner, how does Éabha, Isla, Ruán & Maia sound?

I still prefer the sound of Freya and gutted it's been ruled out for us:-(
