    A Mesh of Styles

Hey everyone! We're going to be first time parents and naming our child is extremely terrifying to us! A lot of friends of ours say that you need to narrow down a "naming style" and go from there (they also said the style usually comes from your every day life style). But our "life style" is pretty confusing.

We want a name that does somewhat reflect us; fun, hip/stylish but we also want the name to have a somewhat classy-ish feel so it will age well and sound nice on an adult. If that makes any sense at all? We do know that we don't like alliteration or names ending in -er since they sound bad with Carter (our last name). We also know that if we have a girl, her middle name would be Susanne (a combination of our mothers' names, Sue and Anne).

    Thank you!

Congrats!!! You seem like you are both going to be great parents!!!
Anyway back to names I just posted on your boys thread but honestly I don't think you need to find a certain style and limit yourself to just those names because names from a range of categories will most likely fit your needs... But I will go ahead and organize my suggestions based on style...

Thank you so much, you're such a sweetheart!

We like and will definitely be adding to a list: Ruby, Josephine, Alice, Ellie, Willow, Dahlia, and Aurora

We like but don't like with Carter: Cordelia (maybe just Delia on its own?) and Charlotte

I agree, I wouldn't worry too much about finding a style you have already short listed some stunning names. Here are a few more ideas...

If you like Ruby, you may like

    Amelia Susanne Carter
    Audrey Susanne Carter
    Aubrey Susanne Carter
    Beatrice Susanne Carter
    Delilah Susanne Carter
    Eliza Susanne Carter
    Georgia Susanne Carter
    Grace Susanne Carter
    Hazel Susanne Carter
    Imogen Susanne Carter
Ivy Susanne Carter (Edit: Just realised, maybe this is too close to Beyonce's baby)
    Pearl Susanne Carter
    Penelope Susanne Carter
    Rosalie Susanne Carter
    Lily Susanne Carter
    Lucy Susanne Carter
    Viola Susanne Carter
    Violet Susanne Carter
    Margot Susanne Carter

If you like Josephine, you may like

    Adeline/Adelyn Susanne Carter
    Evelyn/Evelina Susanne Carter
    Madeline/Madelyn Susanne Carter

Ellie is perfect on its on but could also be short for

    Elisabeth Susanne Carter
    Eleanor/Eleanora/Leonora/Leonie Susanne Carter
    Eloise Susanne Carter
    Elowen Susanne Carter

If you like Willow you may like

    Harlow Susanne Carter
    Marlowe Susanne Carter
    Hadley Susanne Carter
    Everly Susanne Carter
    Emery Susanne Carter
    Emerson Susanne Carter
    Avery Susanne Carter
    Bellamy Susanne Carter
    Jessamy Susanne Carter
    Jessamyn Susanne Carter
    Honora Susanne Carter

With some names, Susannah may work well in the middle, is this an option?

    Good luck!
