    Boy # 2 - Can't agree on a name!!

Hello! We are due in September, and I seem to be the only one with name suggestions while dh veto's everything! Our first lo's name is Corbin James F. I am all about different, but not too out there. Suggestions would be great!!

    Dh doesn't like:
    Donovan
    Devin
    Gavin
    Kai
Killian (because it reminds him of the beer)
    Collin
    Carter
Ryder (which was torn up by another baby site I belong to..)

    And I have nixed:
Lincoln (I like the name...only we have a cat named Lincoln!)
    Gerard

He is on the fence for Cohen, and we are both on the fence for Tyrion (GoT fans...)
We both agreed that we didn't want any names that begin with 'F' due to our last name.

    Thanks so much!!!

Corbin James is a wonderful name!

All your names are nice. Keep in mind that using Cohen as a given name is considered an offensive by the Jewish community. As for Tyrion —*have you read the GRR Martin novels? While he comes across as a sympathetic character in the TV adaptation, he does a lot of questionable things in the later novels. I think it's a cool name and I like the character but he's hardly someone I would want to name a son after!

    some ideas:
    Corbin and Conan
    Corbin and Conall
    Corbin and Gideon
    Corbin and Caius / Gaius
    Corbin and Wolf
    Corbin and Everett / Everard
    Corbin and Kieran
    Corbin and Calum
    Corbin and Cyrus
    Corbin and Coleman
    Corbin and Jasper
    Corbin and Gustav "Gus"
    Corbin and Dominic
    Corbin and Damian
    Corbin and August
    Corbin and Archer
    Corbin and Hunter
    Corbin and Renner
    Corbin and Brennan
    Corbin and Lorcan
    Corbin and Morgan
    Corbin and Sebastian
    Corbin and Dashiell
    Corbin and Magnus
    Corbin and Axel
(Since Corbin means "raven", many of these names like Everett, Calum, Conall give you a nice subtle animal theme)
Arabella, Thibault, Sophia, Alfred, Eleanor, Rémi, Charlotte, Achille, Olivia, Clement, Elizabeth, Frederick, Maud, Benedict, Adèle.

    Hmmm....
Have you thought of using names similar to those above?
    Donovan ~ Brandon, Dylan, Jonathan
    Devin ~ Drew, Austin, Noah
    Gavin ~ Hunter, Landon, Jordan
    Kai ~ Finn, Kale, Joshua
    Killian ~ Cormac, Ronan, Asher
    Collin ~ Ethan, Cameron, Maxwell
    Carter ~ Cooper, Jackson, Tanner
    Ryder ~ Blake, Lennox, Hudson
    Lincoln ~ Ford, Weston, Nathaniel
    Gerard ~ Declan, Niall, Patrick

In regards to Cohen I dislike the rise of this name in popularity Cohen/Kohen is the Hebrew word for priest along with being a common Jewish surname. Cohen is a sacred title in Judaism. A title you need to be born into. The closest comparison would be naming your child messiah, although it's still not an exact comparison. It's a form of cultural appropriation when the name is used by non-Jews. I just find it odd maybe because of my mother being Jewish it just feels strange because I'm exposed to this culture either way I wouldn't use this name.

As for Tyrion that isn't my style I find the name visually unappealing. Sorry for the negativity.

    Names similar to Cohen:
    Elijah
    Conrad
    Jett

    Names similar to Tyrion:
    Anders
    Jasper
    Chance

    Hopefully this helped : )
