Socrates - a name that would be hard for any boy to live up to.
Alchemy - a name that tries too hard to be cool and ends up sounding silly
Balthazar - my favourite "Wise Man" name.
Barnaby - spunky
Bartholomew - an underused Blbical name
Basil - a name that sounds upper class and very British. I like it.
Charlemagne - a one man name and he's been dead for ages. I guess if you were a history buff it would make a quirky middle name.
Boaz - not my favourite Biblical name but it's not bad.
Geoffrey - an old name that sounds contemporary. This is the best spelling.
Hans - Johan is better
Julian - I love this name but then I prefer "softer" boys names
Lucifer - another name for the Devil. No thank you.
Wolfgang - I'm not into "wolf" names. Amadeus is more my cup of tea.
Ginevra - one of my favourite Italian names for girls.
Anona - not a fan
Allegra - vibrant and luscious. I'm over the allergy medication issue.
Devlin - not a fan
Elspeth - one of my favourite versions of Elizabeth
Ines - It's pronounced "EE-nez" not "EYE-nes". I love this name.
Samara - a memorable name with an exotic flair
Wilhelmina - I've grown to like it but I don't love it
Honora - ok but it doesn't grab me
Valentina - exotic and sultry
Ariadne - ok but there are much better Greek names out there
Emilia - feminine and pretty
Nevaeh - one of my least favourite names on the planet and many people agree because it's at the top of the least liked name polls quite consistently. I don't really consider it a name. All the best,

Socrates- I'm all for philosopher names (I love Ptolemy), but I'm not a huge fan of Socrates. I don't really like the Socrat- sound.
Alchemy (al-ka-mee)- I like it! But probably as a middle.
Balthazar- I don't like it, but I'm not entirely sure why.
Barnaby- Love! New favourite of mine.
Basil- My mum has a friend called Basil, so I can only imagine him, but it's, a nice name.
Charlemagne (shar-lah-maine)- NMS, maybe as a middle.
Boaz- I don't really like the sound.
Lucifer- I prefer Lucian, and the devil connection doesn't bother me too much(I think of matches), but loads of people will be completely against it.
Wolfgang- I prefer just Wolf, but I love Amadeus
Anona- I to feels a bit n heavy, I prefer Annora.
Allegra- Love! Only heard of the drug here on Nameberry. And it doesn't bother me, the musical connection is a lot stronger.
Devlin- Doesn't sound like a girls name to me. I'd think it was a boys name.
Ines (EYE-nez)- No strong feelings towards it. It's okay.
Wilhelmina- I'm not a fan, not really my style I suppose.
Honora- Very nice, I love -ora names!
Valentina- I prefer Valencia.
Ariadne (are-ee-add-knee)- Love, but I think pronunciation could be an issue. I say Ar-ree-add-knee (A like in apple), but apparently it's said air-ree-add-knee.
Emilia- When I say it, it's almost identical to Amelia, I don't see the point, unless it's to hound an Emily.
Nevaeh- Not a fan. It just sounds wrong when I say it. I prefer Niamh (Neve) or Fae (Faye).
