    Meryl or Merel?

I love this name never thought twice about it until I saw Meryl Davis the ice dancer and I just fell in love with it.

Through searching bird name lists I found Merel, pronounced the same, and means 'blackbird' which I really love.

Which spelling do you prefer- Meryl or Merel?

I think Meryl is the more familiar spelling, especially with Meryl Davis and Charlie White.

I love both. I especially love Merel's meaning. But Meryl looks like a name...idk how to describe it. So I voted for Meryl.

I think about Meryl Streep before Meryl Davis but I would spell it Meryl. Another option is Merrill.
    All the best,
    Mischa.
