    Unusual name- need advice

My grandmother's name was Deloma. She mostly went by her middle name, but close family called her Del, Lom, or Lomy.

If we used this, it would be Deloma Wyn.

Can I get some honest opinions on what this name evokes?

    Thank you!!!

To me, it actually sounds like dilemma. Even though it's pretty, it gives me negative connotations.
However, I would consider some other, similar names to honor her.

    Delilah/Dalilah
    Dauphine
    Delphine
    Paloma
    Dahlia
    Dahliana
    Delja
    Delltha

Deloma does sound like a grandma name, but it's not bad. It's like a better version of Paloma. Wyn is my fave middle name. Solid combo.

I don't know why, but the first thing I thought of was melanoma. I'd suggest Paloma with a nn Lom or Lomy, maybe.

    1. I would not want to be named Deloma.
    2. But, I do think it is interesting and old-fashioned sounding, which I appreciate in these days of so many overused names.
    3. Being a Californian, I think of the Loma Prieta fault line.
    4. I would use it as a middle if I were you, but it is your call.
