    Help Me Name Baby #6

    Hi there!

You all were a great help when I was naming baby #5 (our third son) that I knew I had to pop back in and ask for help with #6 - our third daughter!

This will be our first girl in 9.5 years. After naming three boys, I have been very excited to name a girl again! Except--I'm overwhelmed. Too many choices! Here are my childrens' names:

    -M@ya J0elle
    -Ell-er-y M@eve
    -Ash-er J@se
    -C@llan N0rth
    -S1las F1ve

    A few guidelines:

    * We prefer not to repeat first initials. So, no first names beginning with M/E/A/C/S. (We would compromise for the perfect name, if necessary.

    * Our last name rhymes with Roman.

    * We like classic/eclectic names with a bit of flair thrown in. We prefer to avoid the top 200, and bonus points for a name not in the top 1000.

    * But, of course, we also avoid outlandish or too weird.

    Whew!

Here's a list of ideas to consider, just for inspiration:

    Noa
    Noemi/Noa
    Noelle/Noli
    Annelie
    Jane
    Elizabeth
    Mirabelle
    Aile/Aili
    Adela
    Jessamy
    Katherine/Kate
    June
    Junia
    Neve
Cordelia - cora, delia, lia, del, della, cory
    Willa
    Helen/a
    Juniper/June
    Delight
    Lyra
    Lyric
    Mabrey
    Isla
    Lucia / Lucy / Luz / Lulu / Lou
    Linnea / Linnie
    Serene (middle)
    Magnolia / Maggie / Nola /Noli
    Maelle
    Astoria/Story
    Julianne/June
    Delaney/Della/Laney

Of these, my current faves are:
    Jessamy June
    Linnea Kate (Linnie)
    Noelle Something? (Noli)

I fell in love with the nickname "Noli" when I stumbled upon Magnolia, but we already have an M in our family, and I don't love Magnolia enough to compromise on the first initial thing. But Noli hooked me right in. So then I thought of Noelle as a formal name. But I'm not sure I love it?

    Help!

Noli is so cute! Maybe Nola as a formal name?
I think Linnea would go really well with your other kids' names.
    Ideas:
    Nora
    Gianna
    Iris
    Calliope
    Fiona
    Flora
    Sage
    Bonnie
    Virginia
    Vienna
    Soraya
    Thalia
    Betsy
    Nadia

I like Jessamine, but not with our last name. Hence, Jessamy.

Iris is pretty! I thought of Nola, but isn't it a little weird with our last name? Two long-o sounds with emphasis...

I've also decided I love Louisa/Luisa with Lou/Lu/Lulu as nicknames.

Such lovely choices and one that I really like is Linnea. Have you considered Lyndal?
I was pleased to see the pretty Julianne on your list too.
What about a virtue name for a middle? Eg Julianne Hope.
I think a soft pretty name would fit your style well.
