    I agree with some of the previous posters, the association with a character from a popular show like GoT just makes the name very wearable. I like the sound of Bran. I don't think of the cereals.

    I like Bran quite a bit. Short and to the point, has a good sound. Not everybody is a gamer, not everybody reads science fiction-not an association to worry about.

    Agree.

    Bran isn't terrible as a nickname but it lacks a lot as a given name, IMO.
