Maiden name for Baby Girl's First Name?

My maiden name is Giorgi. Would it be weird if we named our baby girl Giorgianna (or some variation) and called her Giorgi? Her last name is also Italian if that helps...

I think that's an awesome idea & a lovely way to honor your family. It's a great name anyway!

Why not? Giorgianna is a pretty name. I say go for it.

I love this trend of using the mothers maiden name! Not weird at all!

Lovely! I think it's such a lovely idea to honour your family

I would definitely incorporate my maiden name if I didn't mine so incredibly dull (Williams)!
