Beyond the Top 1,000 - The Girls Edition

Hello ladies and gents, hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. While most Berries have been gleefully (or woefully) reviewing the top 1,000 names in the US on the weekend, I have been busy perusing through the names that didn't make the list (aka "Beyond the Top 1,000"). It's been a long process because when I cut and pasted the list, I still had over 700 pages to wade through. The further down I ventured, the more my eyes began to water with all of the misspellings and kre8tif names. I will group the names into categories to make it easier to summarize. Most of the trends we see in the top 1,000 are continued and some names overlap between categories (eg. Lincoln is a surname, a place name, the last name of a President who was the subject of a film as well as a celebrity baby). The number of recepients range from 247 girls to only 5 girls. This list is completely subjective on my part so some of you may have different opinions on the location of each one. I am not one to tooting my own horn but…I would like to think that suggestions from the Berries was partly responsible for the more unusual choices. I recognize many names that are mention in the Berry world. I had to split my post into two due to the text restriction to 10,000 characters long. Any comments are welcomed!

*There is a special group of names that make me shake my head and feel sorry for all of the females who were given these names.

*The “What Were They Thinking?” Group:
Baby (not for most of her life though)
Babygirl (children grow up – quickly)
Girl (still not good enough to age well)
Miangel (let’s hope she is one her whole life)
Diamonique (this sounds very evil – diabolic?)
Nemesis (it means a source of harm or ruin – Diamonique’s sister?)
Abcde (ok, so you know the first five letters of the alphabet, what’s your point?)
Imunique (that’s nice but isn’t everyone?)
Yunique (I’m so over it already)
Female (there’s no need to advertise which will hopefully be obvious in the future)
    Man (what? For a girl?)
    Jazzman (see Man above)
    Sheikh (sorry wrong gender)
Winrey (a term used to describe a girl who has dum blonde who is good in bed).
    Lady (ok for a dog)
Lamiracle and Amyracle (a silly name whatever way you spell it)
Milady (sounds kind of prim, proper and prudish. Very uppity.)
Prim (not a fan of this word)
Moo (this is just plain cruel)
Nil (you named your kid “nothing” or “zero”. Not cool)
Lolita (nice name but loaded word)
Jezebel (why don’t you just put a bulls-eye on her forehead)
Unknown (is this the same as calling your child “Anonymous” or “No Name”?)
    All the best,
    Mischa.
