I think any of them work except chaos (the word doesn't have any positive connotation to me) and general, because besides the rank it also has the meaning of the opposite of specific.

Anthem seems useable depending on whether or not you intend to use a nickname of some sort. Also certain last names wouldn't work.

    Poet (u)--ok for a girl
    Apollo (b)--no problem!
Story (u)--ok for a girl, but maybe in the midspot.
    Remembrance (g)--ok for a boy w/nn Remy
Caesar (b)--I'd opt for the Italian version, Cesare (Che-zar-ay), otherwise it's too common as a dog name.

    The rest....no.

I think Poet, Apollo, Argo, Arrow, Story, and Remembrance could work as middles, maybe some could be firsts at a push. The others I'd definitely say middles, if at all. As for usable unusual names, I think it depends; a lot of the names I have as firsts are GPs for others. I suppose Sherlock is my most out there name, but I only find it usable as a middle. I can also imagine Remus, Hermione and other names that could be considered 'out there' on actual children/people thanks to Harry Potter. But my most unusual names would probably be (I'd use most as middles):
    Girls-
    Cadmium
    Eclipse
    Ithaca
    Melisma
    Arietta
    Minuet

    Boys-
    Cobalt
    Ember
    Storm
    Garnet
    Trust
Wholocked, history and chemistry loving teenberry (16).
Hoping to be a mummy in the very distant future. Dreaming of...
✦ Pandora Valencia Fae ✧ Evanthe Lyra Annabeth ✦
    Little Misses
✧ Caspian Sherlock Walter ✦ Phoenix Arthur Blaise ✧
    Mister Men
