    Luciana is also pretty close but not hitting the spot!

    Laurel? An obviously American first name might make the 'gene' pronunciation of the middle more intuitive.

    Laurel is a bit bland, sorry! We aren't concerned about the pronunciation too much. Middle names are hardly used and when middle names are said it's usually the parents yelling it or the parent/child telling people when they ask therefore we will be able to dictate how it is said. The only reason we have the 2 choices is it will depend on which we think sounds better when we decide on a first name.

    Olive is kind of growing on us however I'm still not totally sold on it (for similar reasons as Clementine, I think it's the food-connection that bothers me)
