    I like my favourite names in their full form and I would use them that way, although I'm sure I would shorten them or use nicknames sometimes.
    The ones I like are:
    Catherine - Cath, Katie
    Eve - Evie
    Serena - Rina, Nina

    Jared - Red
    Ciaran - Keir
    Roderick - Roddy (this is the only one I'd use all the time)
    Calder - Col
    Not expecting - just interested in names!

    Catherine, Marina, Faye, Nina, Cassandra, Clara, Serena, Lyra, Leigh, Persephone, Annabeth

    I am undecided as to whether I would use nicknames or not but I like my favourite names to have plenty of nickname options that I like

    Anwen - Annie, Gwen/Wen
    Arianwen - Ari, Annie
    Aveline - Ava/Avie, Lina
    Cosima - all I've got is Sim but I'm not sure about it
    Fionnuala - Fionn, Nuala, Fi
