    Sophie or Ivy

A post by @bramble83 just catapulted Ivy into being a real contender for me. And *shock* DH actually likes it! Apparently Poison Ivy is some sort of super hero villain?!

    Anyway...

Ivy is now on equal pegging with Sophie.

I like that it is less popular than Sophie, and a little more 'spunky' to my ears.

Both names sounds great with our surname Ivy Ha55ett, Sophie Ha55ett.

    Which do you prefer?

Middles are not completely set but will be

    Ivy A_____ Marilla
    or
    Sophie A_____ Marilla

Suggestions for first middle would be appreciated!

Incase you are wondering our top boy name is Maxwell Arthur James.

Personally, I prefer Sophie. It seems friendlier to my ears, and it ages better than Ivy (I have trouble picturing Ivy on a forty-something woman, but maybe that's just me). Plus, Sophie and Maxwell would be perfect together, while Ivy and Maxwell don't work that well. I've never liked Ivy at all, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. They're both nice names.

I prefer Sophie just because it's my personal preference. I think both names will sound great. Poison Ivy is a villainess in the Batman comics. She has paired up with Harley Quinn, so I would avoid using either name in a sibling to avoid a subtle Batman theme; even though neither Harley nor Quinn seem to be your naming style.

Definitely, 100%, Ivy. Absolutely gorgeous! I think Ivy and Maxwell sound fabulous together - both equally spunky and fierce, yet friendly.

I like simple yet versatile names that work well for the athlete, the comic, the genius, and the judge.
