    Spelling Michaela

I love the spelling Michaela but the catch is I was to pronounce it similar Michelle with the sh sound. So should I spell it Mishaela? Or stick to my fav spelling? Also I like Marchilene.... What spelling is best for these names?

    Thanks!

Well, if you spell it Michaela it's going to be mispronounced a lot, but if you spell it Mishaela it's going to be misspelled a lot. Decide what feels less complicated, but better try to find another name you love. Giving your child an established name and insisting that others pronounce it your way isn't a good idea.

For Marceline I prefer the original French spelling, but Marcheline is lovely, too.

    Consider Micheline.
