    Sorry, I dislike both the sound and the meaning of Brody and Broden. My favorite Br name is Brendan, which I feel is pretty classic, but not terribly common among new babies. Plus it means "Prince" instead of "ditch."

    Brody is fine on its own, it's an actual name as is. Just because it ends with a y doesn't mean it's automatically a nickname. Broden sounds made up, like a trendy name ending was tacked onto the word "bro".
