Does Callie work as a nn for Clementine?

Just wondering- do you think Callie is a workable nickname for Clementine? Have you heard of it being done before? Or is Callie a standalone name in your opinion? There are a few nicknames I love for Clementine, but using Callie would be a way of get 2 of my favourites with one name!

I know a Keturah nicknamed Katie, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch to not use. Callie is an adorable nickname, but for some reason, I don't like it as much for a stand alone name.

Sure. Just don't try and claim there's a connection between Clementine and Callie. Do you like Calla?

Callie is a standalone name choice for me, it doesn't make sense to shorten Clementine up to Callie either, the letters aren't all there, and the sounds definitely aren't. It's too much of a stretch to me. Calla is a lovely alternative though, as southern.maple suggested :-) I know a Calla who is about 13 now, and that's what her name was always shortened to. Another NN idea for Clementine (one that I would use if I chose Clementine), is Emmie.
