My work has a small shindig with green beer, corned beef sandwiches, potato & bacon bites, etc. with some music.
We have a good number of expats from the UK and not one of them is wearing green, lol.
It is pretty funny that it's such a big thing for some people here.
We aren't doing anything special though I know there's a huge blowout bash at the big Irish pub down by the pier in our city.

Up until yesterday I didn't even know that corned beef was an Irish thing, lol.

I didn't get all the details, but I'm a vegetarian so would have been Irish soda bread and potatoes for me.

I believe that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

No celebrating here. The best I probably did was putting on my puke-green apron at work, like every other workday. :/ I'm a wee bit Irish, and like the story of St. Paddy's Day, but I don't drink, and I'm a vegetarian, so the food options are pretty limited, too, haha. My sister was celebrating with her boyfriend and some of his friends, though.
