    Lily-Josephine?

I'm currently reading an amazing book, titled Lily-Josephine. It's a bit odd, but it's got an amazing little love story element to it. It has a certain Cinderella type feel (the stepmother hated Lily-Josephine, causing her to run away from home), without being too much of a fairy tale.

As I was reading it, I found out why Lily-Josephine's mother (who was beautifully named Helena) chose the name. The direct quote is:

"I read somewhere, I can't remember where - Joseph, in the Bible, was so beautiful that the lilies of the Nile turned their faces towards him, mistaking him for the sun. I want our little daughter to be both the lily and the Joseph - the flower and the sun."

I don't know why, but the name and the quote are really sticking with me.

How do you feel about Lily-Josephine?

Lily Josephine is lovely but I probably wouldn't use it as a double barrel first name. I prefer Lily Josephine nn Lily Jo.

What a wonderful name! I would consider it as a first and middle, just because it is a little long.

Thank you everyone :-) I really love it, but wondered about the length myself.
