Names, the brave and loyal. (Help me add to this themed list!)

    http://nameberry.com/userlist/view/61921

I love the song King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men, and thought it would make a fun theme to base a list around. So far, all I have listed are Ouen (the French variation of Eoin/Owen) and Pike (an unusual, yet familiar sounding, seafarer.)

For the kings, names you'd find in a fantasy novel are ideal.
For lions (not real lions, obviously, a term that refers to loyal knights/warriors,) names with fierce meanings or just something you'd imagine on a knight would be perfect.

I fancy these: Twila Posey, Odette Francesca, Orlaith Glimmer, Fianna Ruby, Indie Nell

Ouen Amos, Cillian Ambrose, Oswin Maverick, Casimir Orlando, Oscar Phineas

    Good name theme idea.

Here are some names that would go with it:

    Ryan - means little king

    Phelan - means wolf

    Gavin - means white hawk

    Leon - means lion

Wyatt - means brave in war

    Austin - means great, magnificent

Well, in my fantasy novel the main character was Giles --which means aegis. Then one of the great heroes in American history was Giles Corey, who refused to give innocent names to the witchhunters of Salem and so was the only American ever pressed to death.

Lion itself was a common name -- one of the founders of the town in Connecticut where I grew up was Sir Lion Gardiner.

And then there's Ettore, the Italian version of Hector. Love that name.

    Oisín
    Brand
    Yngvi
    Fróði
    Hrólfur
    Roland

I like a LOT of these suggestions. @jackal I didn't realize it was so popular! It comes on my Pandora stations a lot, so I've grown fond. lol Do you know where I can find the meanings of some of those names that aren't on Nameberry?
