    These Three Days...

I know there are a million and a half "if you had a baby today, what would you name it" threads...and I'm not even crazy, hormonal, changing-my-mind-every-5-seconds-pregnant (yet!) but honestly...

I sat up in the middle of the night 3 days ago with the "perfect name": RoseMarie Claudette (not Rosemary)... it's mauve-tinted, old-fashioned and a great, unusual combo- just the way I like it (who ever hears RoseMarie as a first name anymore? Love it!)

Then yesterday, I completely went 180: McKenna (not McKenzie or Michaela/Mikayla!)... I mean, talk about hip! Who wouldn't want to be forever-friends with a cool girl called McKenna, with possible nn Macki or Mecka (endless possibilities on that one!!) Too bad our surname also starts with Mc... maybe I've just been reminiscing over Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman re-runs too much lately [for those not familiar, her fn is Michaela, aka Dr. Mike]... And maybe in the long run it's a little too American-girl?

Now today, it was totally Celia (not Cecelia! Goodness sakes, I'm picky aren't I??) Sleek & chic, professional, simple, classy, wonderfully "heavenly"!

And right before I wrote this, Eliza and Aspyn (yes, spelled this way) jumped out at me from a Facebook comment... Sigh. I haven't been on NB for quite a while (long enough to comment at least) - Maybe it's just my name fascination getting the best of me these days!! Wonder what tomorrow will bring??? Lol

I like Claudette, but don't like RoseMarie... Maybe Rose Marie Claudette or Rosemarie Claudette? I also like Eliza... Eliza Claudette sounds very chic.

I agree RoseMarie would be prettier as just Rosemarie. I love Rosemarie Claudette, sounds like an actress from the 40's. I also like Celia and Eliza, but not McKenna or Aspyn. My little sister read a book about a husky named McKinley and he had a friend, a golden retriever, named Aspen, so I think of that.

I tend to agree, but I feel that should it be a lowercase M everyone would automatically assume it is Rose'mary'... But to split it up into 2 words also makes it confusing: is it then considered a middle name? People don't ever know whether they should call you by a double-barreled name or not, and I'm not one for 2 middle names :-/

Ooh! I like Eliza Claudette too! Thanks
