    First of all I'd say no names in the top 30+, not that those don't have character but he popularity seems to ruin the specialness of some good name choices; I love Charlotte but my daughter has two other Charlottes in her class!

    I second Hazel.

    Other ideas: Lorraine, Gloria, Mabel, Margaret, Florence

    Also look at names popular in the UK but excluding most of the 'nicknames as first names' trend.
