Trying to strike the perfect balance

Hello! We are expecting our 3rd child in June. We are struggling to find the perfect name for either a girl or boy (we chose to not find out the gender of our baby). I like names that are unique, but that are not difficult to pronounce. I also like names that have a strong, positive meaning. I do like names that have a literary background from poems and stories, but haven't found any that I love just yet.

It may help to know that we have two daughters named Evyn and Blythe. We have a very short list so far. It has been difficult because I have been a teacher for 12 years, and when I hear a name I typically associate the name with a kiddo I've had in class.

Here is our VERY short list. Looking for feedback and additional name ideas:

    Girls:
    Dempsey
    Avalon

    Boys:
Denmark (the names of the two grandfathers put together)
Barrett (love this name, but an acquaintance from college used this name)

    Thank you for your feedback!

I love Dempsey but it's all boy to me - it would fit perfectly with Evyn and Blythe but I'd definitely assume boy!

Evyn, Blythe and Avalon sounds lovely, so that is a good option.

Denmark is not a good choice, maybe a middle name but I'd prefer to see the middle names Dennis Mark (I'm assuming it's Dennis but whatever the name may be). Dempsey Mark sounds great!

Barrett is a good option too, but I still prefer Dempsey.

Dempsey sounds cool! But as a boys name in my opinion. I think Avalon is nice, and so are Barrett and Denmark. I think it's nice that you tried to incorporate the names of family members.
    Suggestions:

    Adelaide
    Rose
    Mare
    Sybil
    Faye
    Ophelia
    Willa

    Parker

    Hugo
    Hatcher
    Benjamin
    Isiah
    Fletcher
    Shealah
    Teenberry, name loving girl.
