    Boy Names for A Girl

Hello there, we're expecting our second child, (and we have two from previous relationships), and are having trouble agreeing on any sort of name save for both liking boy names for girls.

For example, he likes 'Sam', or rather Samantha... But I dislike Samantha. I'd like a boy name, not a girls name with a boy nickname.

Any suggestions for other boy names for girls? I knew a female Randy, and while I adore Charlie, he does not.

I love the idea of Stephen (pn ST-EH-PHEN) as a girls name. I never liked Stephanie. I can't think of any others but maybe Lucas. Just an idea.

I see you're fairly new to Nameberry... Just a warning, boys' names on girls are VERY contentious on Nameberry and a lot of people are strongly against them. That doesn't mean you're bad or wrong for liking them, just be prepared for the reactions. (Personally, they're not my style but I see no problem with them.)

    Girls' names with boyish nicknames:
    Charlotte- Charlie
    Georgia/Georgina/Georgiana- George, Georgy
    Judith- Jude
    Julia/Juliana/Juliet- Jules
    Josephine/Joanna- Joe
    Harriet- Harry
    Henrietta- Henry
    Theodora- Theo
    Louise/Louisa- Lou/Louie
    Ariadne- Ari
    Aurora- Rory
    Philippa/Philomena- Phil
    Cordelia/Cornelia- Cory
    Danielle/Daniella- Dan
    Gabrielle/Gabriella- Gabe
    Davina- Dave
    Christine/Christina/Christa- Chris
    Michaela- Mick/Mike

    Unisex names*:
    Harper
    Rowan
    Addison
    Madison
Ashley/Ashton- and has unisex nn Ash
    Vivian
    Evelyn
Mitchell (I love this on a girl because of Margaret Mitchell, but I seem to be the only one. Has feminine nn Ellie.)
    Scout
    Leslie
    Lindsay
    Hudson

*I'd consider these unisex. Others may not agree.

Obviously, I hate this trend, but I knew a girl named Logan once. I also know a Charlie.

I'm not fond of the trend because of the stuff they might have to deal with that another girl with a name that is unisex or primarily for girls wouldn't have to go through. But, it's your child and if you like the name, go for it.

I've also known a female Logan, Ryan, Charlie, James, and Tyler.
