I adore Lux as a nickname, but I find it incomplete as a given name. It's beautiful as a nickname for any of the Luc- names (my favourite being Lucienne, but Lucille, Lucia & Lucianna are also cute). Not a fan of Alexis at all, I don't like any of the Alex- names really, especially since I *hate* Alex.

The only Luc name I like is Lucy (really really like it) but my partner doesn't and since we both have to like the name...

Alix would be my pick...it's an ancient French or Norman name, probably a from of Alice. I like Alexis, but preferably for a boy w/the French pronunciation. Lux sounds like a marketing ploy. Or maybe a nn for Lucrezia.
