Thanks so much for the suggestions so far!

Maggie is good suggestion for a nickname for Margaret. I don't think I would mind that.

I'm seeing other names I didn't notice on my own searches. I particularly like these:

    Ivy
    Eden
    Hollis
    Quinn
    Wren

    And possibly these:

    Marlowe
    Charlotte
    Violet
    Juliette
    Evelyn

Now to run them by my husband.

Brooks just makes me think of someone dignified, but not snobby or stodgy, so I am trying to think of a feminine name that would fit with that picture. Of course you have your own pictures of who and what your son and daughter are, but here are some names that I hope may fit the bill.

Eloise - Ok, one of those love or hate it names, but the first name I thought of.

Evelyn - Tipping toward overuse, but still nice.

Deirdre - Just a special name.

Blythe - Again getting popular, and I don't know where you stand of intial sharing for siblings but a favorite.

    Mara -Simple yet not common.

Delia - Another simple yet classic name.

Iris - Unique, feminine, but not frilly.

Greer - This is about as androgynous as I go. Lovely name.

Selah - I like it, some problems with pronounciation.

Faith - Just goes well with Brooks.

    Lydia

    Lainie/Lainey

Willow - May be too precious with Brooks.

I know the right one will show up, happy hunting!

I love Brooks! Since it is a softer name, I would go decidedly feminine with my girl's name. How about:

    Celia
    Scarlett
    Layla
    Lola
    Claire
    Audrey
    Ella
    Mirabel
    Norah
    Vivienne
    Sadie
    Amelia
