    Liliane

What is the general opinion of Liliane? It is said lil-ee-AHN and is the french form of Lillian. Its quite a dated name in France but I love the look of it and the sound more than Lillian. Is Liliane just too confising?

I love Liliane, but I do think it might be too confusing. It's more like leel-YAHN in French, or even lee-lee-ahn, but I do think it's gorgeous regardless. My sister is taking French and Liliane is her "French name", so I've thought of using it in her honor. I like Eva Liliane, personally. I think it's pretty, but I'm not sure I'd use it. I seem drawn to Liliana/Lillian/Lilia in general, more.

I like the look of Liliane, but I would automatically pronounce it Lily-Anne, as I don't take/know French and have never met anyone with this name. I do like the real pronunciation though.
