    Not a big fan, personally. It also strikes me as if it would be a boys name.

    I don't really like it but all of the Whitley's I've known have been really snotty. But, I don't think the sound of it is awful. It's very southern to me.

    I live near (or lived I guess) near a really horrible place called Whitley. I don't like the sound of it anyway.

    Plus I find the 'tly' sound hard to say. I feel like I shouldn't be using a glottal stop but I can't not in my accent. It sounds made up and dated anyway.
