Do the names that have celebrity relations really sound that bad? Would you automatically think of the celebrity if I introduced my child as one of them?
    Not expecting, just addicted

    Maisie is pronounced Mai-Z.

Addelynn- This name is too trendy for my taste. I definitely prefer the classic Adeline.
    Adele- Love it.
Agnes- I can’t wait for Agnes to come back in style.
Alivia- Definitely Olivia, but it’s so popular.
Aria- It has a very pretty sound, but it’s getting very popular.
Aurora- Something about this name has always been unattractive to me. What about Rory?
    Cadence- Very trendy.
    Celia- Very sweet.
    Connelly- It seems to surname-y.
Elise- Too plain for a first name.
    Eliza- Lovely.
    Ensley- It sounds made up.
Esmee- It’s not really my style, but the Esme spelling is better.
    Eva- Cute.
    Eve- It’s a little boring.
Evelynn- Evelynn is trendy. Evelyn is classic.
    Grace- Very nice.
Isla- It’s so breezy! I love it.
Jennifer- There are more than enough Jennifers in this world, most of them 30-40.
    Kimberly- Ditto.
Lacey/Lacy- I like the Lacy spelling better.
Lee- Lee looks masculine to me. What about Leigh? But both seem a little plain.
    Lila- Very pretty.
Lorelei- I love Lorelei. There’s just something about it.
Lucille- I really love this in the middle spot, but I don’t really like it as a first name.
Lynn- Very “mom” sounding, and rather plain.
    Maeve- LOVE.
Maisie- I love it as a nickname.
    Margo- Awesome.
Marilynn- The Marilyn spelling is better, but it is completely associated with Ms. Monroe.
Mckenna/Makenna- I dislike both, but McKenna is better.
Melina- It sounds very “mermaid” to me. But it’s too frilly.
Odelia- It’s pretty, but it sounds like a mash-up of two different names to me.
    Opal- Very nice.
    Phoebe- Spunky!
    Rhiannon- Eh…
    Rory- Cute.
Rosslynn- Rosalind is fantastic. Rosslynn looks a little absurd.
Rylee- Too trendy. Riley is better, but not much better.
Savannah- Very southern. I like it.
    Sheridan- Too hotel-y.
    Sophie- Cute.
    Waverly- Not really my taste.

Abram- I like it a lot. Bram is so cute.
    Alaric- No.
Alec- I don’t like it, but mostly because of associations.
Arden- It just doesn’t sound nice.
    Ari- A little girly sounding.
    Ashton- Too Ashton Kutcher.
Beckett- I like it a lot.
    Benjamin- A fantastic classic.
    Braxton- No.
    Brooks- Dashing.
    Caleb- Great.
    Caledon- It’s weird.

Ciaran- I know this is the traditional Irish spelling, but I like Kieran better.
    Clayton- Maybe.

    Devon- Not really my thing.
    Dominic- Like this a lot.
    Donovan- Like this too.
Dylan- It seems trendy to me, for whatever reason.
Eli/Elias/Elijah- I love Eli as a nickname, but not as a full name. I prefer Elias to Elijah, because I feel like it rolls off the tongue more naturally.
    Ellis/Ellison- Too girly.
Emeric- It sounds like an elf name.
Emerson/Emery- I like Emerson a lot. I hate that people are using it for girls.
Evander- Interesting. I like the simpler Evan.
    Finn- Very nice.
Finnian- It’s not my favorite Finn variation.
Gabriel- Something about this name is not attractive to me.
    Gavin- Love it.
    Harley- Too girly.
    Hayden- Too trendy.
    Henry- I love it.
Ivan- A little too Ivan the Terrible.
Jack/Jackson- Jack is great. I love it as a nickname for John. I can’t stand Jackson.

    Keegan- I like this.
    Kyle- It’s overused.
    Leander- Not really my style.
    Leland- This name is weird.
    Liam- Nice, but so popular.

    Nolan- I like it.
    Omri- Interesting.
    Owen- Love it.
    Peter- Love it.
Roman/Ronan- Love Ronan. Roman is okay.
Rory- I like it better on girls.

    Tate- Not really my style.
    Trenton- Too Jersey.
Trevor- Always brings to mind Neville’s toad from Harry Potter.
    Vincent- Awesome.
    Wesley- Awesome.
"Walter. That’s good. I’ve never known a little kid named Walter. It seems like an old man’s name, but I guess you have to start somewhere."
