Likewise! I think with my own name being uncommon it would be hard for me to stick to things that are more traditional.

My lists are forever changing. Here are some of my current faves, which seem to change every few weeks:

James-- This one's a family name, been on my list since childhood. It isn't going anywhere! Probably use it as a middle, if we ever have the truly hypothetical child #3. As much as I can't stand boy names on girls, I'd strongly consider it as a middle for a girl, because I loved my grandfather and I don't like any of the feminizations of James.
Lorcan- as a roundabout honor name for Carol Anne.
Oran/ Orin ... Can't figure out which spelling. There are a few other accepted spellings of the name, at least as far as homophony.
Talon-- my husband refuses to entertain my fascination with birds of prey, so this one is off the list for potential baby #2.

Saoirse-- I have a very unusual last name, so I'll never be able to use this gem without making my child's name look like the person typing up her birth certificate fell asleep on the keyboard.
Winifred-- Ooooh how I love Win as a nickname. WINNING!
Viera/ Vera-- I live in a community with a large Spanish-speaking population, so I worry going with the Czech spelling, Viera, would be pronounced Vee-air-uh.
