    Names associated with Bob Marley.

Me and my partner are both massive Bob Marley fans. We have been listening to him all our lives and would love our child's name to honor him in some way. My partner is Jamaican and I am English/Spanish.

I love the name Marley itself but I know so many dogs with this name that it has totally put me off. Robert/Bob is too "normal" for us. We like more unusual names.

    Our ideas so far;

Kaya - one of his albums.
Nesta - his actual first name. (Probably more as a middle name though).
Zion - Mentioned in a lot of his songs. Means "highest point".

Any ideas for boys OR girls would be great!

    (not expecting, just collecting!)

    Thanks

Kaya is nice. I think Irie is cute for a girl, maybe in the middle? His kids have pretty interesting names if you would like one of those? I grew up with a lot of reggae music at home and I think it's just so positive and a great place to find a baby name! Good luck!

Thank you! I forgot about Irie. It has been a top middle name spot on my list for a while. It is a lovely name with a lovely meaning.

    Huge Marley fan here!

Of his kids, I love Cedella and Rohan's names
Wailer- this is a gp because it's an actual occupation name but not the best (rich people hired professional mourners, aka wailers, for funerals)
    Judah (or any "lion" name)
    Makeda- Queen of Sheba

    Fox * Rohan * Jade * Shea * Eden * Blaise * Greer
    Lotus * Noor * Tallulah * Jasper * Linden * Arden

I've always loved the song 'Three Little Birds' and always think of that phrase and the song it relates to, and about being happy. Therefore my suggestion would be 'Birdie'
    GIRLS
    River Seraphina/Liliana | Luna/Lyra Winter
    BOYS
Atlas _____ | Sawyer Jameson | Tate Casper
