Thread: Too cute?

I still love the names in my signature - but I've seen a lot of comments calling them cutesy and/or overused. I feel like I'm second guessing my favourites list. What do you think of them?
Gracie (don't like Grace)
Posy (not liking Josephine as much)
Thank you - if you have any favourites off the list, please share themhave courage, and be kind.

Yes, they are cute names. Yes, they may be quite popular. But don't second guess your favourites. They are your favourites, not anyone else's. You are allowed to like what ever names you please. I am constantly second guess my favourites, but then I have to remind myself that they are my favourites, and they belong to me.
The names I love off your list:
And Olive, in your signature
Have you heard of the blogger, Katie or Skunkboy Creatures? She has a little girl called Poesy Wren, which is a gorgeous name.
I know a Gracie, and she wouldn't really suit Grace as much as she does with Gracie.Jude, blackbird.

Some of these do seem too cute to me, although I do like most of them. They just wouldn't all age well without a more formal form...
Millie -- needs long form (Camille, Millicent, Amelia)
Rosie -- needs long form, or just Rose
Sophie -- borderline, but I think it stands on its own
Mia -- stands on its own
Poppy -- too cute
Ella -- stands on its own
Gemma -- stands on its own
Georgia -- definitely stands on its own, nothing cutesy about this one
Ava -- definitely stands on its own
Elsie -- too cute, prefer Elsa
Daisy -- I want this one to stand on its own, but I don't think it quite does
Ruby -- trendy, but stands on its own
Freya -- definitely stands on its own
Violet -- stands on its own
Isla -- trendy, but stands on its own
Holly -- stands on its own
Lily -- stands on its own, although I prefer Lillian
Gracie (don't like Grace) -- too cute
Lottie -- too cute
Emma -- definitely stands on its own
Aimee -- a bit dated for me, but stands on its own
Maisie -- love it, but too cute without formal name
Posy (not liking Josephine as much) -- too cute
Amelie -- borderline for me, but I think it stands on its own
Sylvie -- stands on its own
If you don't want to use longer/formal names for any of these, my favorites are Sylvie, Emma, Georgia, Freya, and Violet.
