My immediate family has some pretty plain names. The most unusual are Dan@ and Kor@, both cousins, both girls. My family will be shocked when in ten years I bring home baby Barnaby or Zelda from the hospital
From my ancestry though, we have a couple standouts. This is only taking into account my dad's side, I haven't gotten through my mom's side yet.
Arethusa (last name P0wers, daughter of J0tham and Mercy... pretty well-named family!)
Clark (on a girl)
Mehetiable (not a typo)
O'Ruth (my half-sister's middle name)
Addison (on a boy, yay!)
DeLancie (more than one, plus my dad's middle name)
Dodge (again, more than one)
Washingtonbaby BOY arriving november 2015
currently considering: Martin, Shepherd, Edmond, Lachlan, Absalom
a girl would have been named: Beatrix Judith

My paternal great-grandfather's middle name is Onemus. He was in the Air Force and fought in Vietnam, I believe. It's certainly an unusual name. At least in my experience. My paternal grandmother's middle name is Dironda. Or is it spelled Daronda? I'm not sure. But my mother's side of the family is a lot more predictable. Lot's of Ronalds, Donalds, Dukes, Scotts, and Juniors. It's a bit of a nightmare, name-wise.Hannah, 16. I've never gone back too far my last name is common and I know all my close relatives. The only weird name is my nanas name its Jamesie (I think thats the spelling my dad doesn't know and she's no longer around) I love it but I can't pass it on it's just too strange so it will be a middle name as I know how special it will be especially for her.☆Isobel★ Eloise ☆Matilda ★Alice ☆Eleanor ★ Amelia☆ Elena★ Mirabel☆ Felicity ★Phoebe ☆Eilidh ★Rosalia ☆Roisin ★Azalea ☆Elsa ★Arabella☆ Genevieve ★Elodie☆ Tallulah★ Ruby☆

I don't have any good ones at all, but my DH's grandmother and her sisters were:
Francesca, Adeline, Cecilia, Estelle, and Lorelei (Franny, Addy, Cecil, Stella & Lola)... What a GREAT sibset! I am determined to figure out their middle names, but unfortunately none of them are still with us...and none of DH's family is any help. ::Sigh::
I've always admired my DH's name, Shep - which is a nickname for his formal name, Stephen. His father went by Jack, his middle name - I love that, too!
My Grandfather was Hubert Merle, AKA Skip. Sad..because he was a great man....and the perfect person for a namesake!
