    Variant of Claudina?

I just ran across an incredible name and I want opinions!

    ~ Clodine ~

Do you think it's a variant of (one of my favorites) Claudina? Maybe that's why I'm so drawn to it!

Of course, it also brings up images of clydesdale horses and the Celtic Claddagh... all positives for me.... but what do you think, fellow berries? Imput?

I found a user submitted entry on Behindthename that suggests Clodine is a variant of Claudine. I'm not a fan of either name.

I love behindthename.com! Thanks for commenting - sorry neither are to your liking They are kind of heavy sounding, I'll give you that. But for some reason I'm drawn to them I'm very attune to the Victorian era, which is where I would categorize them

What about Claudine? I find Claudina very pretty. Very noble.

I prefer the Claudine spelling. Having "clod" at the beginning of the name just makes it feel, well, cloddy and clunky.

Claudette is actually my favorite Claud- name, although I know many find it dated.
